Journalist and true crime author Caitlin Rother joins Marrie Stone for the entire hour to give a mini-course on writing true crime and narrative nonfiction. She talks about the necessary elements she looks for when choosing a subject, interview techniques, research and investigation tools, organizing her materials, creating a compelling narrative, and more.

    I love Caitlin Rother. Thank you so much for having her on your show. Yes, I think the show would do awesome to have more authors from the True Crime genre on to talk about their craft and how they do it. I took bookoos (I know it isn’t a real word, but it works for me) of notes tonight on Caitlin.
